Latasha began her healthcare career at East Central High School in San Antonio, TX, earning her nurse aide certification. From there, she had a strong passion and need to prosper within healthcare, more specifically nursing. She worked as an aide for 5 years before earning her certification to pass medications to the elderly as a Certified Medication Aide in 2007. With this, she worked her way through nursing school, earning her diploma, at the top of her class, in Licensed Vocational Nursing in 2008 from Kaplan College in San Antonio, TX. Using her nursing skills on a skilled rehab unit she worked her way through Registered Nursing school, earning her Associates Degree from Galen College of Nursing in San Antonio, TX as class Valedictorian. This was not enough for Latasha, soon she developed a love for wound care and management and became a wound care expert, earning her Wound Care Certification through the National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy in 2012. A short time after she earned her Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ, in 2013. In 2015 she mastered the field of nursing, earning her Graduates Degree with an emphasis in Nursing Leadership in Healthcare Systems from Grand Canyon University. Latasha has spent nearly her entire career caring for those in post-acute care. Having functioned in all levels of nursing care within LTC/ SN, Latasha has the knowledge and skills needed to care for patients, while continuously educating her nursing team. Being ambitious, Latasha worked full- time in nursing throughout most of her education, and with that same dedication, she is willing and able to lead a nursing team with like values to care for your loved one.
